Star Trek Alumnus joins Game of Thrones cast, plus Season 4 blooper reel

In an announcement made at Comic-Con, it was revealed that Alexander Siddig (ST:DS9's Dr.Bashir) will be joining the Game of Thrones cast for Season 5.  Siddig will play Doran Martell, ruling lord of Dorne and elder brother of Prince Oberyn.

More of the late Prince's family have been cast with his bastard daughters, known as the Sand Snakes, all set to appear in Season 5.  Keisha Castle-Hughes will play Oberyn's eldest bastard daughter, Obara Sand.  Jessica Henwick will play Nymeria "Nym" Sand, whilst Rosabell Laurenti Sellers rounds off the trio by bringing Tyene Sand to screen.

It's not all Dorne when it comes to casting news though, and Jonathan Pryce has been cast as the High Sparrow, a devout man newly arrived in King's Landing.  I forsee idealogical conflicts between him and Cersei, which should be one of the big conflicts of the upcoming series.

The other big conflict will surely surround a, re-cast, Myrcella Baratheon.  Nell Tiger Free will now be playing the role of Myrcella, who hasn't been seen since being shipped off to Dorne in Season 2.  I can't imagine that Oberyn's death is going to make her life all that easy, but then hey, does anyone in Game of Thrones have an easy life?

Also revealed at Comic-Con, was a lovely little blooper reel from Season 4.  Check it out below.
