Spindles is a musician, podcaster, writer, software developer and DJ and is now also the creator, owner and developer of The Wonky Spanner. The Wonky Spanner is a site born out of an idea Spindles had while attending his Performing Arts degree to open a Pub/Cafe/Venue which catered for tabletop role playing games, live music, comics, movies and much more.

Over the years the idea morphed into The Wonky Spanner website which became an outlet for all manner of different creative projects. But it was in 2012 that Spindles and Ady began Si and Ady's Eclectic Technicolour Podcast of Awesome which soon merged with the NerdVsWorld YouTube show to create our flagship podcast. Spindles has been producing content and performing since the late 1990's and currently hosts a weekly podcast called The WonkyCast, is co-host on the NerdVsWorld podcast, writes fiction, and also creates instrumental music and parody songs.

He has recently appeared at Science Fiction conventions as a panel host and moderator, interviewing actors, musicians and authors including René Auberjonois (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Robert Rankin (Author), Megan Hayes (Actress, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Bitter Ruin (Musicians) and Professor Elemental (Musician, Rapper and Steampunk Gentleman).

Through studying his Performing Arts degree, Spindles became an accomplished sound and lighting engineer and event promoter spending several years booking and running events in various venues around Lancashire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire. He has also had regular and guest DJ spots in some of the top Rock/Metal/Alternative clubs around the UK. Spindles has also had a varied career on the stage and screen having performed in stage versions of several Shakespeare productions including Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night's dream as well as various contemporary productions including a stage play based on HP Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos called Dark New World. He has written and directed a feature film called The Sleeper and a short film for the BBC called Quiddity, also based on the Cthulhu Mythos.
