This week has seen a raft of announcements as to who will be appearing at next year's Sci Fi Weekender 6. For the uninitiated, the Sci Fi Weekender takes place at the Hafan y Môr holiday camp near Pwllheli in Wales. Rather than being just a simple convention, SFW aims to provide a complete experience where attendees can immerse themselves in all aspects of the science fiction and fantasy culture.
Sunday 7 September 2014 will see the first dedicated Fighting Fantasy convention take place at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Ealing, West London. Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, co-creators of the publishing and gaming phenomenon that is Fighting Fantasy, will be Special Guests of Honour at the event, where they will be joined by legendary fantasy artists Russ Nicholson, Chris Achilleos and Tony Hough. A highlight of the day will be Steve and Ian’s own talk on the History of Fighting Fantasy.
The Hobbit’s wizard Radagast the Brown and the last of the classic Doctors, Sylvester McCoy is the first guest confirmed for the Sci-Fi Weekender which will take place at Hafan Y Mor, Pwllheli, North Wales 19th – 22nd March 2015.
Sylvester McCoy, the Seventh incarnation of the Doctor will appear at the Europe's biggest residential Sci Fi festival along with an array of exciting guests soon to be announced.
